We are here to help

In our daily interactions between your workshop and our customer service, we pick up a wealth of insights, particularly regarding frequently asked questions or common comments. This page spotlights some familiar fridge and toilet queries that we believe resonate well with everyday situations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cooking appliances

This is intentional, as the door must remain open at all times during the grilling process in order to prevent the release of harmful combustion gases!

This is likely due to pans extending over the edge of the cooker. Advise the customer to only use pans of the correct size and to place them in the centre of the burner.

Toilets

This issue may be caused by a malfunctioning float in the waste-holding tank (it may be blocked by toilet paper or limescale). Alternatively, the “reed switch” (the electronics with which the float communicates) may need to be replaced.

Have the customer carry out the following test: fill the tank with water, put it on one side with the sliding cover off, and check where water is leaking.

Often, the lip seal becomes unsealed due to the incorrect use of certain cleaning or maintenance products, such as vinegar or Vaseline. NB Acidic agents corrode the rubber.

We kindly like to direct your attention to our Duo Tank Cleaner Concentrated. It is suitable for both the waste and grey water tanks.

This exceptional deep-cleaning product effectively eliminates limescale, stubborn dirt, and grease residue. Furthermore, it is able to clean the technical components within the tanks, significantly extending their lifespan. The best part? No scrubbing required! By recommending that customers use this product 2–3 times a year for maintenance, you can save a lot of time for the mechanics in your workshop.

Sounds familiar? In some toilet models, this is most likely due to a stuck pump, caused by scale build-up during the storage period. This issue can be easily resolved by inspecting the pump and tapping it to loosen any deposits. After this operation, the pump should resume normal functioning. However, before proceeding, we recommend checking the plug-in fuse.

Refrigerators

We have put together a list of 11 tips to avoid this phenomenon! Share it to keep your customers informed.

1.    Limit the number of times the fridge door is opened
2.    Limit the amount of time the fridge door is open as much as possible
3.    Check that the refrigerator door is closed properly after opening it
4.    Avoid overfilling the refrigerator
5.    Keep products that may dry out packed in the fridge
6.    If there are any spills in the refrigerator, clean them immediately
7.    Only store food that has completely cooled down in the refrigerator
8.    If possible, defrost the refrigerator every 3 weeks
9.    Keep the interior of the vehicle as moisture-free as possible
10.    Select a lower cooling level
11.    Check the rubber seal on the door to ensure is it not damaged or dried out

In some cases, it is advisable to check whether there is a heat diffuser (in line with the description in the spares list)  in the chimney of the fridge. This spiral-shaped wire ensures that heat is distributed evenly in the chimney. If it is not present, the necessary heat will dissipate too quickly, resulting in lesser or even no cooling performance.

This signals to the fridge’s electronics that something could be wrong with one of the three power sources and that a diagnostic code can be read out.

Reading out works as follows: simultaneously press the 3 buttons next to the on/off button for a few seconds. One or more LEDs will now remain in the display. The position at which these stay on refers to a diagnostic code, the explanation of this code plus the corresponding steps to find the cause can be found on our troubleshooting page

A compressor fridge thrives at high temperatures, but it struggles at lower temperatures. If it is in a space that is too cold, the fridge will no longer work properly. It is then a good idea to heat the space to prevent the ambient temperature from dropping too far.

An absorption refrigerator will struggle in very hot temperatures, especially above 32 degrees Celsius.
You have probably already advised your customer to remove the air vents and put the vehicle in the shade as much as possible.

Solution: Did you know that fitting a ventilator can also improve cooling performance, as it positively affects air circulation? You can find more information via this link: Ventilator Kit N3000-N4000

Perhaps something to think about when the customer comes back to your workshop!

This phenomenon is easy to explain: in campsites in southern Europe, there are often large fluctuations in the voltage network.

Solution: have the customer switch the refrigerator to the gas source during their holiday.
