Thetford launches iNDUS Eco - Update August 2025

Research confirms that cassette toilets remain the superior choice for the majority of the market. Thanks to their long lifespan, low upfront and running costs, limited water use, and easy discharge options, they remain the go-to solution, fully compatible with the existing waste infrastructure. It’s no surprise they continue to be the preferred choice for both OEMs and end users.

However, there is a shift among a growing group of motorhome users seeking for more convenience and additive-free solutions. iNDUS eco toilet system responds to this need by offering a sustainable answer to evolving needs.

High-convenience sanitation systems have already been available on the market for years. In the ‘liner-segment’ end-users are acquainted with a toilet experience close to the experience at home. Tecma, daughter company of Thetford and market leader in marine toilets, is segment leader here, offering a high-level sanitation system, with full ceramic toilets with a macerator pump, pumping the waste to the black water tank. Due to its relatively high weight (a Tecma Silence 2G full ceramic toilet weights about 22.5 kg), high water use (2 to 2.5 litre per use) and big tanks, this solution is in the leisure vehicle business restricted to the big liner segment.
