Helping grow the boating and fishing lifestyle, Thetford Marine is celebrating National Marina Day by donating its green Marine Care products to all 10 participating marinas nationwide. Taking place on Saturday, June 12 and organized by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI), this day promotes the role marinas play in family-friendly gateways to boating and celebrates the marina personnel who act as stewards to the environment.
“Thetford is pleased to join AMI in celebrating National Marina Day,” said Kevin Phillips, Thetford’s VP of sales and marketing. “It’s not only a great way to share the fun of boating, but also educate consumers on Thetford’s Marine Care products.”
The company’s green Marine Care products include Bilge Cleaner, UltraFoamª Black Streak Remover, UltraFoamª Deck Cleaner, Mildew Stain Remover and Boat Wash. All five cleaners are third-party certified green by the EPA’s Design for the Environment program.
The 10 marinas hosting National Marina Day span the nation. They include: Baltimore, Maryland’s Anchorage Marina; Lake Lanier, Georgia’s Aqualand Marina; Miami, Florida’s Bill Bird Marina; Brisbane, California’s Brisbane Marina; Lake Mead, Nevada’s Callville Bay Resort & Marina; Algonac, Michigan’s Colony Marine at Algonac Harbor Club; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina’s Grand Dunes Resort & Marina; North Quincy, Massachusetts’ Marina Bay at Boston Harbor; New Rochelle, New York’s New Rochelle Municipal Marina and Grapevine, Texas’ Scotts Landing.
Boating and fishing demonstrations, boat test drives, safe boating demonstrations and safety vessels will be on site at most participating marinas. Some sites will also include fireworks, regattas, speedboat races, live music, raffles, contests and kids’ areas.
